I'm lucky to have the complete set of The Lord of the Rings books, as well as the additional books which lead up to the story and carries on with the tale.

I'm a very big fan of the cover designs. They're simple, unique but at the same time fairly intricate. The black-on-black illustrations are a really nice touch. I like how plain the covers look from afar, but up close you begin to see more detail and imagery. It gives them personality and more meaning, as if there's a hidden meaning.
